Ages 4 & up
Participants will learn basic tennis skills including forehand, backhand and serving. Emphasis will be on easy to learn games and drills. Tennis racquets will be provided for Pee Wee level; all other participants need to provide their own tennis racquet. Tennis balls are provided. In unfavorable weather, tennis lessons will be held inside at the Veterans Memorial Arena, 1201 7th Ave E. When lessons are moved inside a sign will be posted at the outdoor tennis courts. Lessons are taught by qualified coaches.
Participants should sign-up according to their skill level rather than their age. After the PeeWee level, ages listed are guidelines rather than requirements.
The Park District reserves the right to move individuals to another class if the one they are in has a low attendance.
Ages 4 – 6
This class is for the youngest tennis players who want to learn how to play tennis. Tennis racquets will be provided. Parents are welcome to attend. Recommended ages 4-6, but must be at least 4 years old.

Ages 7 – 10

Ages 11 & Up
For players who completed Beginner I. New techniques will be introduced using the games and drills that are taught in Beginner I.
