Ages 7-11
Have you ever wanted to learn more about bees? At the Red River Valley Fair, campers will go through stations to build and paint wooden beehives while a bee specialist teaches them all about the insect and their habitat! During this rain or shine camp, a t-shirt and daily snack will be provided. A gate admission fee is not required. The Red River Valley Fairgrounds are located at 1805 Main Avenue West in West Fargo. Campers will meet at the Fair Information Building located near the Butler Machinery Arena to begin and end the day.
This camp is offered in July during the Red River Valley Fair.

Ages 9-14
With the assistance of the West Fargo Police & Fire Departments, we are thrilled to offer this program to prepare your child to stay home alone. Topics covered will include safety expectations, accident prevention and emergency planning. Each participant will receive review questions and an emergency magnet to personalize with their family after the class. Parents are encouraged to join the last 15 minutes of Home Alone Safety to ask questions and view a fire extinguisher demonstration.

The Camp-A-Day Adaptive Recreation Program is for youth in grades 1st-8th with developmental disabilities. Campers will be provided with recreational activities, including crafts and field trips. The Park District provides transportation for the field trips; however, the parent is responsible for arranging transportation to and from Camp-A-Day. All participants must have a current IEP from the school district and complete the Application for Special Needs. This form will be available online or at the park office and should be turned in with the registration form. This camp is offered in June. The cost is $60. Ages 8-11
Join the West Fargo Police Department and the West Fargo Fire Department for three days of hands-on activities and information at the Hometown Heroes Academy! This interactive camp will include an obstacle and bike course, emergency vehicle tours, safety stations, and more. Vision Zero and Safe Kids Fargo Moorhead will also be involved in the fun! Campers should bring their bikes to the first day of this program, Tuesday June 27. On the last day, Thursday, June 29, participants will meet at The Lights in West Fargo and have the opportunity to tour the West Fargo Southside Fire Station.

Ages 7-11

The camp will include annual favorites and feature new attractions. During this rain or shine camp, two t-shirts, and daily snacks will be provided. A gate admission fee is not required. Ages 7-12
The West Fargo Park District and Bonanzaville are excited to offer this one-day camp where youth are given an opportunity to step back in time and experience life on the prairie. From the family homestead and the schoolhouse to the early days of train, locomotion, participants will tour our historic village and complete an activity book while learning about pioneer life. Each child will take home a hand-made craft and have a snack. Campers will meet at Bonanzaville, which is located at 1351 W. Main Ave in West Fargo.

Grades 6-12
The Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) is dedicated to promoting patriotism and investing in our future generation. The West Fargo Park District is partnering with the West Fargo VFW to raise awareness about youth opportunities offered by the organization. If you are a democracy-loving high school student interested in learning more about winning up to a $35,000 college scholarship or a patriotic middle school student interested in winning up to $5,000, one of these informative workshops may be for you! During these workshops, participants will learn more about the scholarships and hear from local veterans. Pre-registration is required.
