FACILITIES

Easy to learn regardless of age, pickleball places an emphasis on coordination, control, patience and strategy rather than strength or speed. This game can also be a valuable development aid in hand-eye coordination, exercise and gross motor skill training making it a great sport for all ages and skill levels. The rules are simple and the game is easy for beginners to learn, but can develop into a quick, fast-paced, competitive game for experienced players. We have 9 courts at the Rustad Recreation Center, 601 26th Ave. E.

Rustad Recreation Center hosts may different types of open gym for all ages! Open gyms are a great opportunity to get active and stay healthy. There currently is no fee for participating in Open Gyms at Rustad Recreation Center. Please remember to be courteous of other guests and use good sportsmanship. Limited equipment is available for check out during open gym hours.

The Shadow Wood Splash Pad is closed for the season.

This splash pad provides an unique and enjoyable experience for all who visit! During the summer, this free park is open seven days a week and can provide hours of fun for kids of all ages. The Veterans Memorial Pool is closed for the season.

The Veterans Memorial Pool, located at 131 6th Ave E, is a zero-depth entry pool with two water slides, play features and open swim areas. For more information, please visit the Veterans Memorial Pool page.

The West Fargo Park District has two indoor walking tracks available for free public use. Please remember to be courteous of other guests while using the walk tracks. No spitting, pets, roller blades or skateboards are allowed on the tracks. Youth under the age of 12 must be supervised by an adult at all times.

Rustad Recreation Center, 601 26th Ave E*
An indoor 1/10 mile walking track is available for free public use while the facility is open. The hours are Monday-Friday from 7:30 AM-9:00 PM, Saturday from 8:00 AM-8:00 PM and Sunday 10:00 AM-6:00 PM.

Veterans Memorial Arena, 1201 7th Ave E*
An indoor 1/8 mile walking track is available free for public use while the facility is open. The Winter Hours (October 15 – March 3) are 7:00 AM – 10:00 PM daily.

Indoor Open Skate:
Open Skate is available for $2.00 per skater or $5.00 per family (max of 5 people per family rate). Skate rental is not available.

Monday, January 21st:  1pm-3pm Vets 2
Sunday, January 27th:  7pm-8:30pm Vets 2
Sunday, February 3rd:  7pm-8:30pm Vets 1
Sunday, February 17th:  7pm-8:30pm Vets 2

Outdoor Ice Rinks
All outdoor rinks are free and open to public use. Hours may change due to weather, activities or other reasons. Rinks are typically flooded in early December, or when the ground has frozen and the air temperature is cold enough to sustain ice.

Warming houses are available on Fridays from 4:00-8:00 PM and Saturdays and Sundays from 12:00 – 8:00 PM.

Hockey rinks are located at North Elmwood, Maplewood and Rendezvous Parks.
Pleasure rinks are located at Herb Tintes and River Bend Parks.
