Positions in our Facility and Park Maintenance Departments may require applicants to be over the age of 18 due to equipment use restrictions.


Individuals must be at least 16 years of age. Responsibilities include supervising and coaching youth baseball and tball practices/games for ages 5-9 year olds. Individuals must possess good public relation skills with children and parents. Complete knowledge of baseball rules and the ability to lead practice or drills and coach games. Hours are Saturday mornings November 2-December 14 inside turf area at Rustad Recreation Center from 9:00am-12:00pm.

Pay $12.00 per hour.


West Fargo Park District is hiring a basketball score keeper for Youth Basketball Leagues.  Duties include greeting, directing teams to the correct court.  Maintaining scoreboard for games in a high detail manner, assisting clean up and knowledge of basketball/league rules.  Ability to work Saturdays is required.

Pay $10.00 – $11.00 per hour.


Applicants should have good customer service skills, a positive attitude, ability to work independently, feel comfortable in a fast-paced environment and confident with handling money and making change. The ideal candidate will be able to maintain safe working conditions and a sanitary work area following food safety guidelines and other park policies. Some evenings and weekends will be required.

Pay scale $9.00-12.00 per hour


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, opening and closing the building, setting up private rentals, overseeing rentals, open gyms, and completing minor custodial duties. Applicants should have good customer service skills and an attention to detail. Part time position, weekday evenings and weekends will be required.

Pay scale $11.50-13.00 per hour.


Applicants should have previous ice skating experience and feel comfortable leading/assisting classes for youth ages 3-18. This includes supervising participants on the ice, demonstrating skating skills, assist with planning lessons as needed and evaluating participant’s skills. Instructors will be responsible for providing a safe and fun environment that promotes the sport. Must be available to work Monday evenings September 23 – December 9 from 5:15-7:45pm. Lessons are at Veterans Memorial Arena, 1201 7th Ave E.

Pay scale $12.00-15.00 per hour.


Duties include introducing sports/activities for youth, maintaining equipment and set-up/clean-up of activities.  Applicants must have great leadership skills and high energy. Must be able to work Sept 11-Oct 2, Tuesdays & Thursdays 5:00–7:30 PM.

Pay Scale $10.00-12.00 per hour


Applicants must have played volleyball in the past or are currently playing or refereeing and are familiar with high school rules and USA Volleyball standards of play. Applicants will be required to interact with the public on an on-going basis in the role of a referee (players and public), officiate games in a fair manner, demonstrates extensive knowledge of the rules and interacts with players, league coordinator and spectators in a respectful and cooperative manner. Officials will work closely with the league coordinator and ensures player and spectator satisfaction and performs other duties as assigned by supervisor and league coordinator. Must be able to work Sunday from 4-6pm and Wednesday evenings from 7:00-9:30pm from February 12-April 15.  Tournaments are also available to officiate: September 28 & 29, October 19 & 20, January 18 & 19 and April 4 & 5. Must be 18 and older to apply.

Pay scale $17.00-21.00 per game


Duties include, but are not limited to, opening and closing of the warming house facility, supervising guests and disciplining when needed, completing accident/injury report forms as required and general maintenance and cleaning of the facility during your shift. Shoveling sidewalks and entrances when needed.  Must be comfortable being by yourself in facility and leaving facility alone. Weekday Evenings (4-8pm) and weekend (12-4pm & 4-8pm) shifts are required from December through end of February (hiring mid to end of November).  Flexible hours. Great for students who would like to work on homework. Must be 18 and older.

Pay scale $10-$12 per hour.


Duties include operating ice re-surfacer (Zamboni), maintaining ice quality, facility cleaning and maintenance and
sharpen skates. Applicants must be 18 years or older.

Pay scale $12.00/hour
