Positions in our Facility and Park Maintenance Departments may require applicants to be over the age of 18 due to equipment use restrictions.
Individuals must be at least 16 years of age or older. Responsibilities include supervising and coaching youth baseball and tball practices/games for ages 5-9 year olds. Individuals must possess good public relation skills with children and parents. Complete knowledge of baseball rules and the ability to lead practice or drills and coach games. Hours are Saturday mornings March 6-May 1 inside turf area at Rustad Recreation Center from 9:00am-12:15pm.
Pay $12.00 per hour
Serves during West Fargo Park District Adult Basketball Leagues by greeting, welcoming and directing teams to the correct court. Maintains basketballs, courts and scoreboard during and before games. Ability to work Sunday nights.
- Applicant should be an energetic, motivated and well organized individual who has a passion for sports. Candidate must possess excellent communication skills, expertise in basketball and the ability to work independently.
- Assist with gym set up and break down for all adult basketball leagues
- Accurately record score and game stats for each team
- Supports the referees in enforcing all gym and league rules.
- Implements any changes to league rules, schedule and discipline
Pay $14.00-16.00 per hour
This position is for our winter concessions at our Veterans Memorial Arena and Rustad Recreation Center. Applicants should have good customer service skills, ability to work independently, be comfortable in a fast-paced environment and confident with handling money. Applicants should be able to follow food safety guidelines and other park policies. Evenings and weekends will be required for this position.
Pay $10-12 per hour.
Perform basic cleaning duties such as vacuuming, removal of waste materials, replacing paper and soap products, clean/disinfect the restrooms/locker rooms and other duties as assigned by supervisor. This position will work 30+ hours (Monday-Thursday). Schedule can be flexible to work with employee’s schedule.
Pay Scale: $14 per hour

Previous experience operating various maintenance equipment (floor scrubber, carpet cleaner, ect.) preferred. This position will work 20-30 hours. Schedule can be flexible to work with employee’s schedule.
Pay Scale: $14 per hour
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, opening and closing the building, setting up private rentals, overseeing rentals/party packages, monitoring open gyms and turf. Custodial duties such as cleaning restrooms, sanitizing of public areas, vacuuming and clearing walkways of snow will also be required. Applicants should have good customer service skills and an attention to detail. Part time position, weekday evenings and weekends will be required.
Pay scale $10.50-$11.50 per hour.
The goal of the West Fargo Park District Recreation Internship is to provide students with an opportunity to gain professional experience and learn more about the field of recreation in a park district setting. During the internship, students will assist with various programs, projects and special events for youth and adults. Hands-on experience may include, but is not limited to, coordinating leagues/programs, stocking concessions, creating budgets, planning a community event, supervising staff and assisting with office duties. This position requires exceptional customer service skills, the ability to work cooperatively with a team, computer proficiency in Microsoft Windows-based programs, strong leadership skills and the ability to manage time effectively. A determined work ethic is essential. Interns will be expected to work a variety of hours, including office hours, evenings and weekends. Full and partial internships are available.

Individuals must be at least 16 years of age. Responsibilities include supervising and coaching youth soccer games and instructing drills. Individuals must possess good public relation skills with children and parents. Complete knowledge of soccer rules is mandatory. Saturday mornings from 8:30am-12:00pm are required. This position is from January 9-February 20. No soccer on January 23rd.
Pay $10.00-13.00 per hour.
Individuals must be at least 16 years of age. Responsibilities include leading and demonstrating a variety to sports to youth. Must be enthusiast and previous experience are youth preferred. Program meets Tuesday and Thursday at nights.
Pay $11.00-13.00 per hour.
Duties include operating ice re-surfacer (Zamboni), maintaining ice quality, facility cleaning/maintenance and sharpen skates. This position will get 10-20 hours per week and will be required to work evenings and weekends. Applicants must be 18 years or older.
Pay $13 per hour.
