Positions in our Facility and Park Maintenance Departments may require applicants to be over the age of 18 due to equipment use restrictions.


Individuals must be at least 16 years of age or older. Responsibilities include supervising and coaching youth baseball and tball practices/games for ages 5-9 year olds. Individuals must possess good public relation skills with children and parents. Complete knowledge of baseball rules and the ability to lead practice or drills and coach games. Hours are Saturday mornings October 3 – November 21 inside turf area at Rustad Recreation Center from 9:00am-12:00pm.

Pay $12 per hour.


The West Fargo Park District is hiring for Youth Flag Football Referees. We are looking for fun, energetic and knowledgeable people to officiate flag football. Requirements: must have played or officiated football in the past. Knows the basic rules of football. Must be confident and capable of dealing with parents and coaches. Must be available Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings for 5:30pm and 6:45pm games and possibly 1-2 Saturday games 9am, 10:30am and Noon.  Refereeing will begin August 25th with a few games starting August 11th. Flexible with days you can work.

Pay $25 per game.


Individuals must be at least 16 years of age. Responsibilities include supervising and coaching youth soccer games and instructing drills. Individuals must possess good public relation skills with children and parents. Complete knowledge of soccer rules is mandatory. Mondays and Wednesday evenings are required. This position is from July 6-29.

Pay $10.00-13.00  per hour.


Applicants should have previous ice skating experience and feel comfortable leading/assisting classes for youth ages 3-18. This includes supervising participants on the ice, demonstrating skating skills, assist with planning lessons as needed and evaluating participant’s skills. Instructors will be responsible for providing a safe and fun environment that promotes the sport. Must be available to work Saturday mornings September 26 – February 13 from 8:00-10:00am. Lessons are at Veterans Memorial Arena, 1201 7th Ave E West Fargo.

Pay $12.00-15.00  per hour.


You will be coaching youth grades 3rd-6th.  Coaches will be responsible for assisting League Coordinator with team practices.  Coaches will be responsible for all aspects of practice and game play. During matches coaches from each team will take turns to ref a game. Youth leagues will run on Tuesday and Thursday nights, August 18 – September 17. Tuesdays will be practices and Thursdays will be games. Must be able to work 5:00-8:15pm. Must have knowledge of volleyball and some volleyball reffing. Must be 16 and older to apply.

Pay $11-13 per hour.


Applicants must have played volleyball in the past or are currently playing or refereeing and are familiar with high school rules and USA Volleyball standards of play. Applicants will be required to interact with the public on an on-going basis in the role of a referee (players and public), officiate games in a fair manner, demonstrates extensive knowledge of the rules and interacts with players, league coordinator and spectators in a respectful and cooperative manner. Officials will work closely with the league coordinator and ensures player and spectator satisfaction and performs other duties as assigned by supervisor and league coordinator. Must be able to work Sunday from 4-6pm from August 9 – October 25 and Wednesday evenings from 7:00-9:30pm from August 12 – October 28. Flexible hours if you can only work one night. Tournaments are also available to officiate: September 26 & 27, October 17 & 18, January 16 & 17 and April 3 & 4. Must be 18 and older to apply.

Pay $17-21 per match.


Duties include operating ice re-surfacer (Zamboni), maintaining ice quality, facility cleaning/maintenance and sharpen skates. This position will get 10-20 hours per week and will be required to work evenings and weekends. Applicants must be 18 years or older.

Pay $13 per hour.
