Kinder School Creative Time

This program is for boys and girls 4 & 5 years old that have not yet entered kindergarten. This program targets personal growth, creativity, and imaginative thinking. Youth participate in arts, crafts, story time, and various activities. Children may register for both sessions. Parents need to pick their children up on time.

Beginners Clay Class

Carrie Savageau, local artist and art teacher will share her passion for clay art. Create pottery pieces by using hand building techniques such as the coil and slab methods. Finished projects will be ready for participants 6 weeks after each class.

Clay Class for Two

Carrie Savageau, local artist and art teacher will share her passion for clay art. This class is for one adult and one youth creating two pottery pieces each day. Create pottery pieces by using hand building techniques such as the coil and slab methods. Finished projects will be ready for participants 6 weeks after each class.

Little Picasso's Painting and Drawing

Youth will work with paints and pastels while implementing drawings in this 6 week course. Transfer your favorite artisitic drawing to a canvas creation. A canvas and other art material will be provided.

Youth Scrapbooking 101

Youth will be introduced to the basic scrapbooking techniques and complete a small homemade picture book. Please bring 15-20 of your favorite pictures, stickers and some scrapbooking tools you may have. Special scissors, cutters, glue and paper will be provided.

Crafty Kids Art Class

Youth will make a variety of crafty art projects using various mediums of art. Craft priojects will be made of wood, clay, glass, paper and other materials. Each week will offer a wide array of craft projects that will incorporate nature, summer fun, and cultural art. Kids will be able to take home projects each week!

Funky Junk Art Class

Use your creativity and create funky works of art with a variety of kid safe items. Youth will complete at least 4 art projects which may include three- dimensional projects, wall art and more. Youth will be encouraged to work with clay, wood, paints, and several recyclable items.

Cartooning Class with Steve Stark

Learn to create and draw cartoon characters! Steve Stark, area artist will teach step-by-step methods on how to draw from head to toe and more. Kids will learn tips on how to draw people, animals and super heroes. All supplies will be provided. Each week will be somthing new.

Kolor-A-Kite Afternoon

Come and spend an afternoon designing and coloring your own kite! Each child will color their own kite, review kite -safety and then head outside (weather permitting) to fly the newly made materpieces and paint the sky with art. Each child will also receive a "Wind Diary" where they can record the wind speed/direction, weather, who they flew their kite with and when they flew it. A light snack will be provided as well. This program is sponsored by KotiKites & WindSports.

Creative Art Classes are available at various times throughout the year.
