All youth camps are offered during the summer!

Beehive Camp

Ages 7-12

Campers will get down and dirty learning about bees while building wooden beehives at the Red River Valley Fair. Campers will learn how to construct our precut beehives in three beehive building stations: box station, framing station and painting station. In-between building the beehives, a bee specialist will teach the campers about bees and their habitat. Request t-shirt size on registration form.

Camp-A-Day
Adaptive Recreation

Grades 1st-8th

The Camp-A-Day Adaptive Recreation Program is for youth with developmental disabilities. Campers will be provided with recreational activities, including crafts and field trips. The Park District provides transportation for the field trips, however, it is the parent’s responsibility to arrange transportation to and from Camp-A-Day. All participants must have a current IEP from the school district and complete the application for Special Needs Programs prior to attending camp. This form will be available online or at the park office and should be turned in with the registration form.

Camp-A-Day is not available for online registration. For more information, please contact Matthew at matthew@wfparks.org.

Experimenting is Fun Camp

Ages 7-12

Did you know physics, biology and chemistry are part of our daily life? This class will explore the many ways these sciences impact the things you do everyday. A qualified instructor will help participants with various experiments and activities to gain first hand knowledge of the impact science has.

River Detective

Ages 7-12

River Keepers, a local organization, will teach participants about nature through various activities and go on a scavenger hunt to learn about the river, trees, birds and animals. What did you discover? Learn how you can protect the river during this exciting camp! This is a “rain or shine” class, activities will be moved inside the Elmwood Shelter if raining.

Red River Valley Fair
2-Day Camp

Ages 7-12

Campers will experience the Fair from a new prospective. Each day will be packed with activities including a backstage tour of the Grandstand and livestock barns and making a fun project to take home! Strolling through the Fair this year and on the PETRO SERVE STAGE is Alex Clark juggler and comedian extraordinaire. As you walk into the front gate the Air Force Performance Lab will be on your left, this is a full size F-16 that you can see with an activity center. Snacks will be provided each day. Please request t-shirt size on registration form. This is a rain or shine activity. This camp is sponsored by Bell State Bank and the Red River Valley Fair

The Power of Magic

Ages 7-12

This magic class is taught by professional magician Jeffrey Salveson. Participants will learn the skills to perform magic tricks and amaze family and friends. Each participant will receive a magic kit to take home.
