Winter Days offers activities for all ages and it is a wonderful way to get out and beat those winter blues in January. Some of the highlights each year include the Silver Snowflake Search, the Senior Luncheon, coloring contest, HockeyFest. Snow Golf Tournament, the Chili Cookoff at the West Fargo VFW and many fun activities for youth to participate in at the West Fargo Public Library. New additions this year include the addition of the 6th Silver Snowflake with cash value of $500, Open Houses at new Maplewood and Rendezvous Activity Centers and partnering with Fargo Parks at Hockeyfest.

Snow Golf Course Opens

Hours: 8:00am-5:00pm
North Elmwood Park
Bring your clubs and tennis balls and play a round of golf on our 9 hole course! Get out and practice for FREE and then sign up for the Snow Golf Tournament on January 19th!

Monday, January 20th
HockeyFest at Scheels Arena
1:30-5:00pm Enjoy an afternoon of Hockey including a movie – “Mighty Ducks 2″, open skating and carnival games hosted by the West Fargo Park District and Fargo Park District. Free Event.

Make Friendship Bracelets at the West Fargo Public Library
6:30-am-7:30pm “make new friends but keep the old.” Open to all ages. No registration required.

Thursday, January 23rd
West Fargo Senior Luncheon
12:00noon The luncheon is at the West Fargo VFW. Free turkey dinner, music by Tim Eggebraaten, followed by Bingo. This event is for residents of West Fargo That are 60+. Space is available for the first 200 seniors. Reserve you spot by calling 433-5360.

“Create Your Own” Coloring Contest
Color and decorate a Winter Days scene form. This contest is open to Preschoolers-3rd graders. Contest forms will be available at the park office, your school or online at When completed, return form by January 23rd to the WF Park District, 500 13th Ave W, West Fargo.

Winter Days Word Scramble
Pick up a copy of this special Word Scramble printed in the WF Pioneer in the January 15th edition. Everyone who completes a puzzle will be eligible to win a prize. One entry per person. Return to park office by January 23rd.
